Real Food Challenge

A list of the ingredients in a McDonald’s sausage patty: “pork,” whey protein concentrate, salt, corn syrup solids, sugar, dextrose, monosodium glutamate, caramel color… the list of chemical names and acronyms goes on.  No… Just. No.

Eat the foods that don’t have extra ingredients in them, i.e. the ones that just are! Here’s a pork tenderloin recipe that you can make at home, for a true case of “eat this not that”.

Ingredients

  • 2 pork tenderloins
  • Fresh ground Pink Himalayan salt
  • Fresh ground pepper
  • 1 orange
  • 1 Tbs fresh italian oregano, chopped

Directions

  1. Place tenderloins in baking dish
  2. Grind Pink Himalayan salt followed by pepper lightly over tenderloins
  3. Zest orange to yield 1-2 tsp in small mixing bowl
  4. Squeeze juice from half of orange into bowl
  5. Add chopped oregano
  6. Pour mixture over tenderloins one at a time
  7. Bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes.
