Whip up some Home Made Hummus

Impress Your Guests!

Make your own Hummus it’s fast and easy – just put everything into a food processor and blend!

Serve with veggies or crackers.  Great to spread on a sandwich too!

hummusIngredients

  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 2 cups canned chickpeas, drained
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1/3 cup tahini (sesame paste)
  • 6 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice (2 lemons)
  • 2 tablespoons water or liquid from the chickpeas
  • optional: dash of hot sauce or Sriracha!

Directions

  1. Place all ingredients in a food processor or high speed blender.  Add more water or olive oil if needed for consistency
  2. Taste, for seasoning, and serve chilled or at room temperature.
