I love recommending Wall Push ups to my clients – they are super easy and you can fit them into your day anywhere.
If you haven’t ever tried a wall push-up here’s what you do:
Stand 2-3 feet away from the wall
Place your hands on the wall and put your weight on your hands
Bend your elbows like a push-up and move your face towards the wall, then push out
I suggest 10-15 repetitions.
What does that have to do with Harpo Marx, you may ask? Earlier this week I was doing a phone follow up consultation with one of my clients, and he was not very motivated to do any resistance training, so I suggested a few wall push-ups. He paused, and said, “Yes, but Susie, what if I push down the wall?”

I’m sure you’ve had someone say to you – “are you holding up that wall?” when you are leaning and doing nothing. Next time someone says that turn around and do a few Wall Pushups!!
